How far in advance should we book?
We recommend booking as soon as you know your wedding date to ensure availability. This also gives you plenty of time to plan how you’d like to capture your wedding weekend.
What kind of camcorder will I receive?
We ship you an easy to use Sony camcorder that is ready to start filming right out of the box.
When will I receive the camcorder?
We ship our camcorders 10-12 days before your event to ensure they arrive on time.
What if the camcorder doesn't work when I receive it?
Although each camcorder is tested before we ship them, we recommend you test it out before you're ready to use it to confirm everything is working properly. If for some reason the camcorder is not working, please email us at info@pressrecordco.com right away and we will expedite a new one.
What happens if I lose or break the camcorder during my event?
Please notify us immediately if you lose or break the camcorder. If insurance is not added onto your booking, there's a fee of $250 for a lost or broken camcorder.
How long does a battery last?
Each battery lasts up to 235 minutes of continued recording (which is about a day's worth of recording on and off). A charger and extra battery are included.
When do I send the camcorder back?
We ask that you send the camcorder back with the specified postal carrier at the end of your rental period. We do have a small grace period, but fees will begin to accrue if the camcorders are not returned on time. Your videos cannot be delivered until we receive the camcorders.
When do I receive my video?
Once we receive the camcorders back, your raw footage will be ready for download within 48 hours and all other edits within 14 days.

Is this cheaper than hiring a wedding videographer?
Yes. Traditional wedding videographers can cost several thousand dollars. Our camcorder rental and professional editing service offers a much more affordable way to capture your wedding while still ending up with a beautifully edited film of your day.
Can we use this for a full wedding weekend?
Absolutely. Many couples use the camcorder throughout their entire wedding weekend—welcome dinners, rehearsal events, the wedding day, and even the morning-after brunch. It’s a great way to capture more candid moments and memories beyond just the ceremony and reception.
Do you ship nationwide?
Yes! We ship our camcorder kits anywhere in the United States and Canada. Your kit will arrive before your wedding with everything you need, and after your event you simply send it back using the prepaid return shipping included in the package.
Do we need any filming experience to use the camcorder?
Not at all. The camcorder is very easy to use—just press record. Many couples ask a few friends or family members to capture moments throughout the day, which often results in more natural, candid footage than a traditional videographer.
What’s included in the camcorder rental kit?
Each kit includes a high-quality camcorder, accessories, simple instructions, and prepaid return shipping. Everything is designed to make recording your wedding as easy as possible. Once we receive the camcorder back, we professionally edit the footage into a finished wedding film.
What happens after we send the camcorder back?
After your event, simply return the camcorder using the prepaid shipping label included in your kit. Our editing team will review the footage and create a beautifully edited wedding film highlighting the best moments from your day.
