When should I book?

We recommend booking as soon as possible, but 3 to 6 months before your event is a good time to guarantee availability. However, we can sometimes accommodate last minute events so make sure to send us an email!

What kind of camcorder will I receive?

We ship you an easy to use Sony camcorder that is ready to start filming right out of the box.

When will I receive the camcorder?

Accepted Answer

We ship our camcorders 10-12 days before your event to ensure they arrive on time.

Question 4

What if the camcorder doesn't work when I receive it?

Accepted Answer

Although each camcorder is tested before we ship them, we recommend you test it out before you're ready to use it to confirm everything is working properly. If for some reason the camcorder is not working, please email us at info@pressrecordco.com right away and we will expedite a new one.

Question 5

What happens if I lose or break the camcorder during my event?

Accepted Answer

Please notify us immediately if you lose or break the camcorder. If insurance is not added onto your booking, there's a fee of $250 for a lost or broken camcorder.

Question 6

How long does a battery last?

Accepted Answer

Each battery lasts up to 235 minutes of continued recording (which is about a day's worth of recording on and off). A charger and extra battery are included.

Question 7

When do I send the camcorder back?

Accepted Answer

We ask that you send the camcorder back with the specified postal carrier at the end of your rental period. We do have a small grace period, but fees will begin to accrue if the camcorders are not returned on time. Your videos cannot be delivered until we receive the camcorders.

Question 8

When do I receive my video?

Accepted Answer

Once we receive the camcorders back, your raw footage and uncut video will be ready for download within 48 hours and your Modern Day Home Video™ within 14 days.
